Gold's Gym Reviews by Employees
| This is a terrible place to work. Not just this location, any Gold's Gym in the metro Atlanta area! They all are terrible to work for. Terrible pay, although they make you think you're gonna make SO much commission, No Benefits, You get NO respect, and you are expected to work rediculous hours! Not to mention you are supposed to sell sell sell no matter what...and that includes lying and cheating good people to sign up. Even as a "General Manager" you are treated like crap. Mark Montgomery and James Broussard have zero respect for anyone but themselves...although they deserve none. In fact, General Managers are treated even worse than anyone else. There is zero room for growth as General Manager is as far as you can go as all Gold's Gyms are franchises. Personal trainers are paid hourly (maybe $12 hour if lucky). The trainers there are generally worthless anyways. They require NO certification whatsoever. You are LUCKY if you take home $2,000 a month as a general manager. If you want a job where you are treated fairly and with respect, or even a job where you can pay your bills at the end of the month or have a nice work/life balance...DO NOT WORK HERE! I cannot stress that enough. This is not the job for you....or ANYONE for that matter! |
