Fragile X individuals are mentally impaired, with problems ranging from slight learning disabilities to severe mental impairment. They may be hyperactive and hyper-sensitive to external stimuli and have short attention spans. Physically, a Fragile X individual may have a long, narrow face, prominent ears, nose and forehead, enlarged testicles and loose joints.
